Description
The GT86 G5 Plug-In is a standalone plug and play replacement for the factory ECU: it plugs straight into the original wiring loom with no adapter harness and comes with a sample map for a tuning head start. It runs the same microcontroller and firmware as the G5 Voodoo Pro.
Designed for the 2.0 L 4U-GSE/FA20 flat-four engine in right-hand drive cars, with support for both manual and automatic transmissions. The left-hand drive version is part number 241-4200.
G5 Plug-In ECUs run the same microcontroller and firmware as the G5 Voodoo Pro, in an enclosure that mounts in the OEM location and plugs straight into the factory loom.
Important notes
- Works with both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Does not support factory wideband sensors.
- Due to the very tight factory ECU location, the LHD and RHD mounting methods differ: this version is for right-hand drive vehicles.
- 2017+ models have some differences and will not run with the sample maps supplied in PC Link and the standard plug-in hardware: they use a Hall effect crank sensor instead of a reluctor (Trigger 1 type set to Optical/Hall with pull-up ON) and a 4-pin DI fuel pressure sensor, which needs an 8.2 kΩ pull-up resistor between C7 (An Volt 4) and 5 V, with the source on An Volt 4 and calibration 0 kPa at 4.06 V and 30,000 kPa at 0.46 V.
